Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva uses materials which we consider sometimes repulsive, she shows the beauty that she can see in them. This is very important process for Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva and important value in life too. In her artworks she creates she tries to not only consider ‘ugly’ or ‘uninteresting’, but to consider them before making her own decision. What is important in life and which we understand as we gain experience, don’t you think?

 

In Blood flowing through my heart series, each print is unique and individual, made with pigs heart by direct compression transferred on paper using paint, natural liquids, bloods, gold and pencil to revel its internal textures and invisible beauty.
